Q: How will I get my gate pass for access to the Laboratory?

A: For non-Argonne attendees, a gate pass is automatically processed for your Users Meeting visit to Argonne as a result of your completing a RegOnline registration, based on the dates you provide for your arrival and departure.

U.S. citizens must show a photo ID to claim their gate passes.

IF YOU ARE NOT A US CITIZEN, you must complete an APS Visitor Registration form in order to have your access approved so that a gate pass is ready and waiting for you upon your arrival. The link to this form is included in the confirmation e-mail that is sent when you complete your RegOnline registration. You will also be sent instructions about what forms of identification are necessary to claim your gate pass to bring with you on your visit.

Gate passes can be picked up at the Argonne Information Center during normal business hours or at the Guard House at the Main Gate during weekends or off-hours.

Q: How do I submit my Poster Session abstract?

A: Abstracts for the Poster Session are submitted by using the Upload button found on the Personal Information page in your RegOnline registration record under Other Info.

When you answer “yes” to the question "Will you be presenting an abstract at the poster session?" you will be prompted to identify the facility you wish to have your poster affiliated with (APS, CNM, or EMC) and the science category you wish to have your abstract grouped with (biology, chemistry, condensed matter physics, environmental and geology, high pressure, instrumentation, materials science, nanoscience and nanotechnology, polymers, technique, or other).

After that, you can upload your abstract using the Add File link.

Note that a style guide is also available. Please upload only .doc or .pdf files, and use only alphanumeric characters in the file name. Graphics cannot be used in the program book.

Q: How do I submit my Invited Speaker abstract?

A: Abstracts for Invited Speakers are submitted by using the Upload button found on the Personal Information page in your RegOnline registration record under Other Info. You will be asked to identify the session at which you have been invited to speak (e.g., which cross-facility workshop, facility-specific workshop, or plenary session) from a pull-down menu.

After that, you can upload your abstract using the Add File link.

Please upload only .doc or .pdf files, and use only alphanumeric characters in the file name. Graphics cannot be used in the program book.

Q: Can I submit my abstract at a later date from when I register?

A: Yes. You can return to the meeting’s RegOnline form and click on "View or Change Your Existing Registration."

From there you can use your e-mail address and password to access your registration record and upload your abstract (or update or change your information).

Q: Can I change my registration information if I need to?

A: Yes. You can return to your Users Meeting RegOnline form any time and click on "View or Change Your Existing Registration."

From there you can use your e-mail address and password to access your registration record update or change your information, and upload an abstract, or print a receipt of your registration for your records.

Q: How can I pay for my registration fee(s) using the Argonne XINK system?

A: Argonne employees can pay their Users Meeting registration fee (and CNM Short Course fee, if applicable) using the XINK system. Go to https://apps.anl.gov/xink. (This system is on Inside Argonne and requires your LDAP user name and password.)

At the top of the page where it says Find a Form, type in “936” and the ANL-936 Internal Meeting Registration form will pop up as a link. Click on the ANL-936 link and complete the form, choosing the appropriate payment type (e.g., registration only, registration plus short course, or short course only) from the pull-down menu called “Conference Information.”

You can fill out the XINK payment system for one or more people at time. You will need to provide an appropriate cost code for your fee(s).

Q: How should Argonne employees pay for lunch or banquet tickets?

A: Argonne employees must pay for their Users Meeting lunch and/or banquet tickets using a personal credit card (preferred) or personal check via the secure payment option on the Checkout page of the RegOnline registration form.
